By the edge of a magical, pebble-infested river, there lived a posh, beloved and caring family. Hansel and Gretel,who were brother and sister, had a father called Gabriel and a mother called Lissette. One night, a wild witch shape-shifted into a magpie and was staring down at Hansel and Gretel. Her eyes were gleaming like flares.

The red-nosed, warty faced witch hated Lissette because she had everything that her heart ever desired,yet she fell in love with Gabriel. When they went outside, the witch had turned Lissette into a weeping willow tree, but the others didn’t know. The witch transformed into an evil lady called Belladonna. She threw herself into a river and pretended to drown, so the children came sprinting down like as if they could run on water to save her.  When they got her out, they brought her to Gabriel.

A few months later, the whitch, whose name was Belladonna, got married to Gabriel. Hansel and Gretel weren’t sure about Belladonna because she was acting bossy, strict and not very nice. She had started to reveal her true, evil colours. One night, Belladonna wanted to get rid of the children, so he did, but Gabriel had a trick up his sleeve…
